Vale, no sale en PC. Tampoco sale el gran Ronnie James Dio… venga, vale. Pues habrá que ver si al menos la lista de canciones merece la pena. La podéis encontrar en Kotaku o aquí mismo tras el salto. Lo curioso es que la historia viene de que en principio este listado salió en una de las webs oficiales de EA (la de Dinamarca para ser más concretos), que luego fué retirada pero que Kotaku salvó. De ahí lo de que sea la lista de canciones casi oficial.
A destacar la genial Rock Bottom de UFO (con el gran Michael Schenker), Wheels of steel de Saxon, dos temas de Racer X (luego geniales también), Still of the night o la mejor canción de Whitesnake de largo, cinco temazos de Judas Priest (The Hellion/Electric Eye, Leather Rebel, Painkiller, Battle Hymn y la magestuosa One Shoot At Glory), la mejor canción “oscura” de Kiss (God of Thunder), Angel Witch con su tema homónimo que fué de lo más destacable de su carrera, Fast As A Shark de Accept… grandes temas todos ellos que luego se ven junto a algunas canciones que cuesta entender que se metan en el mismo saco. Esperemos que queden perfectamente dentro de la historia, dado que sino no se entiende que pudiendo elegir incluso dentro de los mismos artistas haya canciones mucho mejores que no han entrado en lugar de canciones de relleno del tipo Goliaths Disarm Their Davids de In Flames (Pinball Map, Man Made God, Ride the bullet, Clayman, Reroute to Remain,…), o más sangrante aún lo de Manowar, de quien meten las poco inspiradas Die For Metal y la algo mejor pero aún así lejos de mítica Dawn of Battle pero que pudiendo elegir entre su repertorio (Hail and Kill, Blood of the Kings, The Power of Thy Sword, Metal Daze, Defender, Carry On, Battle Hymn,…)…
En fin, la lista ha sido retirada de la web de EA por lo que queda la cosa como provisional, pero de ser cierta, y pese a tener algunas decisiones cuestionables y que posiblemente tengan que ver con derechos sobre las canciones, tiene suficientes canciones de gran nivel para rellenar un juego a la altura. Os dejo con la de Angel Witch que posiblemente no sea de las más conocidas para la gran mayoría pero que para quienes crecimos escuchando temas del estilo en las míticas cintas, este grupo ayudaba a marcar la barrera entre “los ochenta” y “antes”. Ah, y como curiosidad, (nostalgia metalera ON)este grupo antes se llamaba Lucifer, pero cuando se largaron algunos miembros para formar banda con un tal Bruce Dickinson (antes de que pasara a ser el gran Bruce de los Maiden), pasaron a llamarse Angel Witch…(Nostalgia metalera OFF). Lo dicho, si pulsais sobre el titular de la noticia o el más de ahí abajo, la lista de canciones completa.
