Also next week, tracks from Dinosaur Jr., The Guess Who and Tenacious D will be available for download in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Wii. Additional tracks from Evanescence and Spinal Tap will be available for download for Rock Band Unplugged on PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system.

Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 System and Wii

Canadian heavy metal band Anvil will make its Rock Band debut next week with a three pack of songs the band re-recorded specifically for Rock Band. Anvil Pack 01 includes “666” and “Metal on Metal” from the band’s 1982 album of the same name and “This is Thirteen” from the band’s 2007 album of the same name. Anvil has released 13 studio albums since 1973 and was the subject of a documentary this year entitled Anvil! The Story of Anvil. Also this week, additional tracks from American rockers Dinosaur Jr., The Guess Who and Tenacious D will be available for download next week in the Rock Band Music Store.

Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Store using Wii Points purchased through the Wii Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage.  The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.

There are now more than 856 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/music).
