More Red Alert Action for Consoles Now Available for Under 10€

Los Angeles, Calif., September 16, 2009 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced that Command & Conquer™ Red Alert™ 3 Commander’s Challenge, a new action-packed chapter in the storied Command & Conquer franchise, is available now for download on Xbox LIVE and on September 24th at the PlayStation Store. Players can challenge the world’s toughest commanders and conquer the world in a gauntlet of 50 unique challenges for 800 Microsoft Points at the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and 9.99€ at the PlayStation Store. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Commander’s Challenge is a standalone arcade title and does not require Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 to play.

ANVIL MAKES ROCK BAND DEBUT WITH THREE PACK; DINOSAUR JR., THE GUESS WHO AND TENACIOUS D AVAILABLE FOR ROCK BAND

Cambridge, Mass. – Sept. 11, 2009 – Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that Anvil will make its Rock Band debut next week with a three pack of songs. Also next week, tracks from Dinosaur Jr., The Guess Who and Tenacious D will be available for download in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™. Additional tracks from Evanescence and Spinal Tap will be available for download for Rock Band Unplugged on PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system.

Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 System and Wii

Canadian heavy metal band Anvil will make its Rock Band debut next week with a three pack of songs the band re-recorded specifically for Rock Band. Anvil Pack 01 includes “666” and “Metal on Metal” from the band’s 1982 album of the same name and “This is Thirteen” from the band’s 2007 album of the same name. Anvil has released 13 studio albums since 1973 and was the subject of a documentary this year entitled Anvil! The Story of Anvil. Also this week, additional tracks from American rockers Dinosaur Jr., The Guess Who and Tenacious D will be available for download next week in the Rock Band Music Store.

Tracks available on Xbox 360 and Wii (Sept. 15) and PLAYSTATION 3 system (Sept. 17):

Rock Band 2 is available for Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Wii system. Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system and Wii versions support downloadable content.

Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Store using Wii Points purchased through the Wii Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage.  The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.

There are now more than 856 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/music). Rock Band continues to satisfy music fans’ and gamers’ voracious appetite for rock with more than 50 million paid downloads since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.  The Rock Band Music Store allows players to preview and purchase downloadable individual music tracks and packs from the vast selection of offerings available to date without ever leaving the game as they build their own custom Rock Band library.

Rock Band and Rock Band 2 are rated “T” for Teen (lyrics, suggestive themes) by the ESRB. Music downloads are not rated by the ESRB.

Parche 1.02 para Mass Effect y nuevo contenido para la versión 360

Y cuando parecía que ya todo el efecto masa debía venir de la segunda parte nos llegan dos noticias de Shepard y los suyos para su anterior aventura. Por un lado, para quienes disfrutamos de este gran juego en nuestro ordenador, nos llega, con un peso de 72,6 megas, una nueva actualización para el juego que viene a solventar los bugs de la misma. Y es que por mucho que avance la civilización, especialmente cuando es humana siempre hay riesgo de quedarse colgado en un ascensor. Disponible en su web oficial, por ejemplo. Por otro lado, si lo que tenemos es la versión para la consola de Microsoft hay nuevo contenido descargable. Se trata de Pinnacle Station. Un nuevo lugar en el que demostrar que eres lo más duro de la galaxia en una nave donde sólo van los quieren batirse el cobre… Dos horas de juego a unos 400 points vamos. Tenéis más detalles aquí.

Más malas noticias. Hasta Sam nos deja. Vale que con anterioridad ya tuvo adaptaciones a consola, pero revivir el primer Serious Sam en el Live… ¿Porqué nos abandonas, Sam? Ya este dibu no significará lo mismo.
